Eri Bastos

Hi, I’m Eri Bastos, a Brazilian-born, Halifax-based tech enthusiast, avid reader, and lifelong learner. Born in Brazil, I moved to Halifax, Nova Scotia, in 2007 and have proudly called Canada home ever since. I’m married to my wonderful wife, and we’ve been building our life together since 2003. We share our home with Logan, our energetic German Shepherd who keeps us on our toes.

Professionally, I’ve been immersed in the IT world since 1998. Currently, I work as a Senior Manager of Site Reliability Engineering leading global teams to ensure scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure. With expertise in cloud computing and infrastructure management, I hold multiple AWS certifications, including Cloud Practitioner, Developer Associate, and Solutions Architect Associate. Python is my go-to programming language, and I’m passionate about solving complex problems through automation and innovation.

When I’m not working on tech challenges, you’ll often find me with a book in hand—I read voraciously and explore everything from strategy and leadership to science fiction.
